Tuxedo Revolt Ups the Ante in 2013.

It’s time to get started. Im very excited to bring to you, the first Tuxedo Revolt blog post of 2013. This year is looking to be quite an adventure for me and (if you stick with me) for you as well. I thought that it would be a good idea to start the year off by letting you know what to expect in the coming months:

First, you can expect continued content articles here on the TR blog. I’m working very hard to increase the frequency of posts this year. From your comments and emails, that’s what you are telling me what you want more than anything else– more content. So that’s my first goal in 2013. You can send me an email about topics you’d like to hear more about. I promise, I’ll personally email you back and we can toss around ideas. Second, I’m excited to announce that there is going to be more variety in the kind of media that you are going to see coming from the TR workshop.
TUXEDO REVOLT PODCASTS:
Like audio books or talk shows? Some people like to listen rather than read– so say no more. I’ve already collected the raw audio for the first three Tuxedo Revolt Podcasts– which will be available for download on the iTunes Store in February. Like the content on the blog, they’ll be free. Tuxedo Revolt podcasts will be full length audio of the interviews with musicians, artists, and thought leaders who embody Tuxedo Revolt ideals.

TUXEDO REVOLT YOUTUBE CHANNEL & WEBISODES
You think I’d just stop at audio only?! No way. I’m excited to announce a third addition to Tuxedo Revolt’s multimedia projects– meet the Tuxedo Revolt YouTube channel. It will be a real push for me, but I hope to roll out the first TR webisode by mid-February. This new media format will allow you to have deeper access into the creativity, personality, and lives of those who are profiled on the TR blog.

As you can see, there are many new things in the works for the coming year, plus some super secret projects I’m not quite ready to announce just yet. However, even more important than more posts and new media, is that I’m more dedicated than ever to bringing a fresh creative perspective to the world of the performing arts and the way that we interact with each other as creative artists.

In the past several months, I’ve seen the blog’s traffic grow to numbers I could have never anticipated. What does that tell me? It tells me that there are literally thousands of arts supporters, musicians, and administrators who see the need for change in the way we present our art and how we interact with our audiences. It is a shared vision amongst us all to see the arts thrive in the popular culture.

I’m here to help turn that vision into a reality. We can fill our concert halls, our theaters and our opera houses with large and vibrant audiences once more. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again– the arts are not doomed, but they are also not completely relevant to today’s audiences. Tuxedo Revolt strives to be innovative and imaginative, but above all else– relevant. So here’s to a great year in 2013. Let’s make it the most creative year yet.

Stay tuned,

John-Morgan
